The evolutionist will always argue that a “kind” can become another “kind”. According to scripture, however, such does not happen. Whatever kind a living thing is when it is created, such a living thing will always remain that kind.
Genesis 1:11-12
“And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:21
“So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:21
“So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:25
“And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1 reveals a basic characteristic of God, regarding purpose in His creation:
Things are meant to be, as they were created to be.
In other words, when God creates or forms, it is meant to remain as it was created or formed. Basically, whatever kind a something is, it was made to be that kind, and nothing can change it. Whatever kind a plant may be, it will remain as such. The same goes for sea creatures, flying creatures, and “everything that creeps on the ground”.
Now, the evolutionist will argue against this notion. They proudly proclaim that kinds become other kinds. However, there is nothing which has ever been discovered which thwarts this Biblical truth. Kinds remain as they were created to be. Nothing can change them… Nothing.
There is another realm where this concept applies as well: soteriology.
Matthew 25:31-34
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. Before Him will be gathered all the nations, and He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And He will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
I have a question for you to ponder…
Can a goat become a sheep?
This passage from Matthew 25 is a metaphor. The sheep and the goats each represent the elect (Christians) and the nonelect (non-Christians), respectively. It’s a metaphor describing the final judgement. In the end Christ “will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.” God will, “place the sheep (elect) on his right, but the goats (nonelect) on the left.” Notice that there is no changing from a goat to a sheep or a sheep to a goat. Each one remains as one was created. As for the sheep (elect): “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
So, the elect are blessed by the Father, to inherit the kingdom, which was prepared for them since the foundation of the world?
Yep.
And nothing can change that, meaning, the elect remain as the kind they were created to be, forever? In other words, an elect person cannot change into a nonelect person?
That’s right!
Ephesians 1:3-14
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth. In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory.”
The elect cannot evolve into the nonelect. They remain as the kind they were created to be. Praise God, for such assurance!
Ephesians 2:11-22
“Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in His flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that He might create in Himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”
Godspeed, to the brethren!
